“Thus saith the Lord God: ‘Because Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended and revenged himself upon them,
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
‘Thus says the Lord God, “Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended and has incurred grievous guilt by taking revenge on them,”
Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance and has greatly offended and has become doubly guilty by taking revenge upon them,
¶ Thus saith the Lord God; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
“‘This is what the Lord God says: Because Edom acted vengefully against the house of Judah and incurred grievous guilt by taking revenge on them,
The Lord God proclaims: Edom acted with excessive force against the house of Judah. The Judeans were guilty, but Edom’s vengeance was excessive.
“Adonai Elohim says: ‘Because Edom has taken severe vengeance against the house of Y’hudah, incurring much guilt by its acts of vengeance against them,
The Lord God then said, “The people of Edom are guilty of taking revenge on Judah.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath made himself very guilty, and revenged himself upon them,
Thus saith the Lord God: Because Edom hath taken vengeance to revenge herself of the children of Juda, and hath greatly offended, and hath sought revenge of them:
This is what the Lord God says: “The people of Edom turned against the family of Judah and tried to get even. The people of Edom are guilty.”
The Almighty Lord says this: Edom's people were cruel to Judah's people when they wanted to punish them. They are guilty because of what they did to Judah's people.
This is what the Lord God says. Because Edom has inflicted bitter revenge on the house of Judah and has incurred great guilt by pursuing revenge against Judah,
“Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance on them,
“Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance on them,
“This is what the Lord God says: ‘Edom took ·revenge [vengeance] on the ·people [L house] of Judah, and the Edomites became guilty because of it.
¶ Thus saith the Lord God, because that Edom hath done evil by taking vengeance upon the house of Judah, and hath committed great offence, and revenged himself upon them,
“ ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: Edom took revenge on the nation of Judah and became guilty because of it.
The Sovereign Lord said, “The people of Edom took cruel revenge on Judah, and that revenge has brought lasting guilt on Edom.
This is what the Lord God says: “Because Edom acted vengefully against the house of Judah and incurred grievous guilt by taking revenge on them,
“This is what the Lord God says: ‘Edom took revenge on the people of Judah. And the Edomites became guilty because of it.
“This is what the Lord God says: ‘Because Edom has made it their practice to seek extraordinary vengeance against Judah’s citizens, and by doing so has incurred extraordinary guilt by taking revenge against them,’
Thus hath the Lord GOD spoken; Because of what Edom did when he took vengeance against the house of Judah, (for they are condemned as guilty) and revenged themselves upon them;
Thus saith the Lord God; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
Thus saith the Lord God; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance and has incurred grievous guilt and avenged themselves upon them,”
Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Because of the doings of Edom in avenging himself with vengeance for the house of Judah, and so they became very guilty and they avenged themselves on them,”
And the Lord God says: “Because the people of Edom have sinned so greatly by avenging themselves upon the people of Judah,
“God, the Master, says: Because Edom reacted against the people of Judah in spiteful revenge and was so criminally vengeful against them, therefore I, God, the Master, will oppose Edom and kill the lot of them, people and animals both. I’ll waste it—corpses stretched from Teman to Dedan. I’ll use my people Israel to bring my vengeance down on Edom. My wrath will fuel their action. And they’ll realize it’s my vengeance. Decree of God the Master.” * * *
Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance and has greatly offended and revenged themselves upon them,
“‘This is what Adonay Yahweh says: Edom took revenge on the nation of Judah and became guilty because of it.
Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom took vengeance on the house of Judah and incurred terrible guilt by taking vengeance on them,
‘The Lord God says this: “Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has incurred great guilt, and avenged themselves upon them,”
‘Thus says the Lord God, “Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has incurred grievous guilt, and avenged themselves upon them,”
Thus says the Lord God: Since Edom has acted with vengeance against the house of Judah and has committed a grievous offense in taking vengeance upon them,
“This is what the Lord God says: ‘Edom took revenge on the people of Judah, and the Edomites became guilty because of it.
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Edom has taken vengeance against the house of Judah; they have made themselves fully culpable by taking vengeance on them.
The Lord and King says, “Edom got even with Judah. That made Edom very guilty.”
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because Edom took revenge on Judah and became very guilty by doing so,
‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Because Edom took revenge on Judah and became very guilty by doing so,
‘Thus says the Lord God: “Because of what Edom did against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended by avenging itself on them,”
‘The Lord God says, “Because Edom has fought against Judah in its anger, and has become very guilty by doing so,”
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The people of Edom have sinned greatly by avenging themselves against the people of Judah.
Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted vengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,
Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted vengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,
Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,
Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,
Thus saith Adonoi Hashem: Because Edom hath dealt against the Bais Yehudah by taking vengeance, and with great asham (guilt) offended, and revenged himself upon them;
“Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,
“Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,
Thus says Adonai Elohim: “Because Edom has taken severe vengeance against the house of Judah and has grievously offended by taking revenge upon them,
This is what the Eternal Lord has to say about Edom: Eternal One: Edom took revenge on the people of Judah, and her people are undeniably guilty for avenging themselves against My people.
“‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and taken revenge on them;”
The Lord God saith these things, For that that Idumea did vengeance, that it avenged itself of the sons of Judah, and sinned doing trespass, and asked greatly vengeance of them; (The Lord God saith these things, Because Edom did vengeance, and avenged itself upon the sons of Judah, and sinned doing trespass, and took great vengeance upon them;)
Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of the doings of Edom, In taking vengeance on the house of Judah, Yea, they are very guilty, And they have taken vengeance on them.
